Bringing a Beautiful Old Building Back to Life... did we ever!?!

"This is great! It really fulfils a need for the town, both as an independent retail store and as a focal hub for activity in the town"

Just one of many pieces of incredible feedback that we've received from you... Ipswich, you rock!

As you'll know, if you were one of the almost 2,500 (yes, 2,500!), people that visited us last Saturday and/or Sunday, we had the most incredible weekend. We filled the fabulous 15th Century Ancient House with the best independent makers and traders from near and far (why go to Shoreditch when we can bring Brick Lane to you!?) Here are a few pics of our fabulous stallholders (visit the website for more pictures of both us, and you - see if you can spot yourself in a shot!)

As part of Ipswich Borough Council's Welcome Back Ipswich weekend, our pop-up department store, food hall and centre for historic guided tours of the building was busy, busy and bursting at the seams at times! And Ipswich town centre was a hub of activity, with the most amazing light show on the Cornhill, exhibitions, music and community events - it certainly felt like we breathed a lot of life into our town centre - and fully deserving it was too!

As well as our incredible stallholders, we wanted to thank Surrey and Ben for bringing the most delicious food to our weekend, and to the Ipswich Tour Guides for imparting their knowledge and torturing their knees with historic tours around the building, from the very bottom, to the very top! We also want to thank the one and only Tony from the Nonsuch DJs for spinning the best music for the weekend's antics - just the right blend of upbeat but relaxing vibes had everyone in that right kind of mood!

So, what now? Well, we wanted to thank you all for supporting our independent makers and traders and for leaving some comments that brought a tear to our eyes - showing how much you enjoyed this weekend, and are behind what we're trying to do in taking on this iconic building and turning it into the hub of the town. We've passed all of your comments (anonymous, obviously), to Ipswich Borough Council, along with visitor numbers, an idea of the incredible amount of money that you spent with our deserving stallholders this weekend and lots of information on the number of people that follow us on social media (if you don't you should: Facebook/Instagram!), and all of you that have visited our website and subscribed for news. And now we all wait for news... with everything massively crossed!

We'll keep you posted - bye for now and big thanks, once again, so far...

Miranda, Annie and Matt
